The project “Exploring Subtitle Reading with Eye Tracking Technology” (SURE) received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Grant Agreement No. 702606. The study was conducted at the Centre for Translation Studies in cooperation with Deafness Cognition and Language Centre at University College London in spring 2017. The goal of the project was to experimentally study the subtitle reading process in terms of optimum subtitle presentation times (reading speed) and line breaks (segmentation).
