The essential genome in two strains of A. actinomycetemcomitans (VT1169 and 624) were determined by Tn-seq. Following this, an ordered library was generated in VT1169 by CP-CSeq. The utility of the library was demonstrated by screening it for mutants with altered susceptibility to the antibiotic erythromycin.
