Implicit attitudes toward the elderly among health professionals and undergraduate students in the health field: a systematic review

Abstract Objective To perform a systematic review of articles evaluating implicit attitudes of health professionals and undergraduate students in the health field toward the elderly. Methods The PsycINFO, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus and LILACS databases were searched for relevant articles published in English, Portuguese and Spanish using the following search terms: implicit attitude AND (elderly OR aged OR older people). Seven articles were selected. Results The majority of studies were conducted in developed countries and found negative attitudes toward the elderly, with males exhibiting more negative attitudes than females. Conclusion The articles analyzed in this review demonstrate an implicitly negative attitude among professionals and students in the field of health toward the elderly.摘要 研究目的：开展一项系统综述，对评估卫生专业人员及卫生领域本科生针对老年人的内隐态度的相关文献进行梳理分析。 研究方法：检索PsycINFO、PubMed、Web of Science、Scopus及LILACS数据库，筛选以英语、葡萄牙语及西班牙语发表的相关文献，检索策略为：内隐态度（implicit attitude） AND（老年人（elderly） OR 老年个体（aged） OR 年长人群（older people）），最终共纳入7篇文献。 研究结果：绝大多数研究在发达国家开展，结果显示卫生从业者与学生对老年人存在负性内隐态度，且男性相较于女性表现出更为消极的态度倾向。 结论：本综述纳入分析的文献证实，卫生领域专业人员与学生对老年人存在内隐负性态度。
