We have analyzed the global gene expression modulation induced by mechanical stress (shear stress) on vascular wall cells, seeded in the Ibidi system, with and without BVS+Drug. By the comparison of the different flow conditions we obtained a small panel of genes, mainly involved in inflammation, angiogenesis, leukocyte migration, smooth muscle cell growth, thrombosis (BMP4, SELE, HMOX1, MEOX2, SEMA3E): all these genes will be integrated in an in-silico model for the evaluation of restenosis and thrombosis development after BVS deployment. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 777119 Transcriptomic analysis of human coronary artery cells (endothelial and smooth muscle cells) subjected to physiological (20 dyne/cm2) and pathological (1 dyne/cm2) shear stress, in the presence or absence of drug-eluting Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold (BVS) together with Everolimus (Drug, 600nM)
