In order to study the changes in gene expression profiles in Monascus co-cultures with Lactobacillus plantarum compared to Monascus purpureus Wild-type strain , we collected tissues of Monascus purpureus Wild-type and WT co-cultured with Lactobacillus plantarum SC-1 strains to extract mRNA and performed RNA high-throughput sequencing.
