In order to protect people’s health and vegetation from the influences of high levels of air pollution, air quality is continuously examined and assessed according to legal regulations. For this purpose, the Land Office for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas (LLUR) in Schleswig-Holstein operates a network of measuring stations at which air pollutants are measured using different methods. The measurement data from Schleswig-Holstein and many additional information on the measurements are forwarded to the Federal Environment Agency and reported from there to the European Commission together with the data from all Länder. All currently published data must be classified as ***provisional***, as they are automatically checked for validity for your fast information. Before the final assessment and assessment of the air quality, a multi-stage test according to legal requirements takes place later. The CSV files “miss” on the day of the switch from normal time (CET) to summer time (CEST) the 3 o‘clock measurement, while on the day of the change from summer to normal time there are two 3 o’clock measurements.
