VPRS 16202 Register of Exemptions, Equal Opportunity Board

This series was created to register applications for exemptions from the provisions of the Equal Opportunity Act 1977 and subsequent acts.The Equal Opportunity Board acted as a Tribunal to hear and determine unconciliated complaints referred by the Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, as well as applications for exemptions from provisions of the Act.The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) received written applications from employers and organisations who wished, for example, to employ or provide a service which would otherwise be contrary to the Equal Opportunity Act 1995. There was no fee for an exemption application.
