TFQA treatment in SAMP8 mice showed the significant performance on improving learning and memory compared with no treatment SAMP8 mice brains. TFQA treatments in SAMP8 mice also had significant activation of neurotrophin signaling pathway, by increasing BDNF. We used microarrays to detail the global programme of gene expression underlying treatment and identified distinct classes of regulated genes during this process. SAMP8 and SAMR1 mice brains were selected for RNA extraction on Affymetrix microarrays. We selected 6 months old adult male SAMP8 and SAMR1 mice. After 37 days administration of TFQA, mice were dissected and brains were isolated.
