The Silixa-Fairfield network was created to acquire Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) data as part of the Global DAS Month campaign, organized by the IRIS DAS Research Coordination Network, during the period 1-28 February 2023. Acoustic measurements were taken along a ~28.4 km standard telecommunications fiber optic cable running westward from the town of Fairfield (Montana, USA) along Montana Highway 408 and 1st Rd SW.
