Measuring ageism using VR

This dataset consists of the full experimental data for the project: Measuring ageism using VR. The purpose of this project is to examine if virtual reality (VR) can be a novel tool for measuring people’s prejudice towards the elderly (i.e., ageism). Using virtual avatars of different age (i.e., old, young) and gender (i.e., man, woman, we explored if having an ageism attitude will affect how far away people tend to stand from the elderly. In this dataset, you will find data for the relevant variables (i.e., physical distance between participant and each type of avatar, scores on various self-reported measures of ageism, and participants' demographics).
