Identification of severe invasiveness-related factors of emm89 Streptococcus pyogenes isolated in Japan

In this study, we have collected clinical strains of emm89 S. pyogenes in Japan from 2016 to 2021 isolated from both severe invasive infections and non-severe invasive infections, and conducted whole-genome sequencing and genome-wide association study.
