Images from an Archaeological Evaluation at Durno's Nursery, Old Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, November 2022

This collection comprises images from an archaeological evaluation which was undertaken at Durno's Nurseries, Old Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire (NGR 430494, 298921) in November 2022 by Worcestershire Archaeology. It was commissioned by Orion Heritage on behalf of their client, in advance of a proposed housing development. Planning permission was granted subject to a programme of archaeological works. The results of the evaluation have identified limited archaeological remains, with the only features present comprising the remains of ridge and furrow. This supports the findings of an earlier stage of evaluation and indicates the archaeological features present at Durno's Nursery are of negligible significance and are principally associated with a post-medieval agricultural landscape.
