Driving Mobility Data

Over 50-thousand commuter and professional drivers across the US utilize Nexar’s intelligent, connected dash cam system, capturing over 60-million miles per month. Nexar extracts and refines the dash cam footage using advanced AI and combines it with mobility data to deliver meaningful, real-time insights with supporting ground-level imagery.

Driving behaviour data is captured from Nexar’s vast network of drivers across the United States. We transform regular cars into smart cars to build the world’s first safe-driving network. With a Nexar-powered dash cam, AI and a network that connects drivers on city roads, our drivers can record their ride and get real-time road alerts about hazards and incidents nearby.

We use the data received from the Nexar dash cam network to produce insights that help our drivers, as well as businesses make better decisions. Using cutting edge AI, both in our smartphone apps and on the cloud, we analyze frames and produce actionable data so that everyone can understand the physical world better and faster.

This data set focuses on exposing driving behaviour. Data is available on the following:
- Average miles driven per driver
- Average hours driven per driver
- Active driver ratio (number of drivers divided by average number of drivers for specific city/state in the time range available)
