资源简介:
Interactive teaching methods have become one of the most effective approaches in English as a Second Language (ESL) education, particularly in developing speaking skills. Traditional teacher-centered instruction often limits learners’ opportunities to communicate actively, whereas interactive methods encourage participation, collaboration, and authentic language use. This thesis examines the role of interactive teaching methods in improving ESL students’ speaking abilities through communicative activities such as role plays, group discussions, pair work, debates, task-based learning, storytelling, and digital interaction. The study is based on qualitative analysis of scholarly literature, empirical studies, and pedagogical research related to communicative language teaching and interactive learning. Findings indicate that interactive methods significantly enhance learners’ fluency, pronunciation, confidence, vocabulary acquisition, and communicative competence. These methods also reduce speaking anxiety and create learner-centered classroom environments that encourage meaningful communication. Furthermore, technology-supported interactive activities provide additional opportunities for authentic speaking practice beyond the classroom. The thesis concludes that interactive teaching methods play a crucial role in improving ESL students’ speaking skills and should be integrated systematically into language education programs.
