资源简介:

The data set represents results of experimental particleboards produced of sawdust bonded with natural suberinic acids (SA) mixture obtained from birch outer bark. The data set is generated from results of tested particleboard properties summarized in 5 Excel files. Each file consists of multiple worksheets representing experimental data of each particleboard sample and a 'Description' worksheet which provides a concise description of the methods used to obtain the data and the abbreviations used throughout the file. In addition, a descriptive PNG file is included representing a scheme of particleboard cutting to individual specimens for each property testing. Ten particleboards samples (No 9. 10, 11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 31, 32, 33) were produced from recycled particleboard particles supplied by the local particleboard manufacturer Kronospan Latvia, varying density and pressing parameters defined in the table below. The furnish of recycled particles consisted of fine (< 2 mm) and coarse (55% > 2 mm) fractions formed in face and core layers, respectively. 15–21 wt.% (dry basis) of wet SA binder was added to the supplied particles. The blended furnish was then dried to a moisture content < 2%, and hot-pressed at varying the temperatures (200–220 ℃) and pressing times (0.9–1.5 min/mm) to obtain the particleboards with final dimensions of 9 mm × 310 mm × 310 mm, and a target density ranging from 650 to 750 kg/m3. Three particleboard samples (No 11, 12, 13) were made with final dimensions of 7 mm × 160 mm × 190 mm. Sample No SA % Temperature ℃ Time min Pres.rate min/mm Density kg/m3 9 15 200 9.0 1.0 654 10 15 200 9.0 0.9 730 11 15 200 6.5 0.9 655 12 15 220 6.5 0.9 661 13 15 220 6.5 0.9 751 21 21 220 13.5 1.5 617 22 21 220 13.5 1.5 719 31 15 200 13.5 1.5 665 32 15 220 10.0 1.1 644 33 15 220 13.5 1.5 653 The pressing cycle of particleboard production consisted of four stages: 1) pressing at maximum pressure (3 MPa) to reach the target thickness for 3.5 min; 2) releasing the pressure at 0.2 MPa for 30 s; 3) pressing at reduced pressure (< 2 MPa) to stabilize the thickness for 3 min; 4) pressing under minimum pressure (0.5 MPa) until the end of the set pressing time. The obtained particleboards were characterized according to the relevant standards by determining density (EN 323), modulus of elasticity (MOE) and modulus of rupture (MOR) in a three-point bending test (EN 310), tensile strength perpendicular to the board surface (IB) (EN 319), thickness swelling and water absorption (TS/WA) after 24 h immersion in water (EN 317), and face withdrawal of screw resistance (WSR) (EN 320). Mechanical tests (MOE, MOR, IB, FWS) were performed using a ZWICK/Roell Z010 (Ulm, Germany) universal machine. The data set contains the following files: 1. Specimen cutting scheme.png 2. Density.xlsx 3. Bending properties.xlsx 4. Swelling in water.xlsx 5. Internal bonding.xlsx 6. WSR.xlsx
