资源简介:
1) Brief Overview: Romantic couples (undergraduates at the University of Toronto & community members from Toronto, Canada, dating at least 6 months) came into the lab and filled in several individual difference and relationship measures. They then had a videotaped conversation where they each shared a time they "felt a lot of love for each other and how they expressed it". They next did an empathic accuracy task (own and perceived partner emotions after the conversation, as well as the Ickes empathic accuracy paradigm), and then completed some sexuality questionnaires. Approximately 4 months later they were emailed a brief follow-up questionnaire on Qualtrics containing relationship and sexuality measures. 2) Sample: Background: 248 individuals (124 couples); Follow-up: 181 individuals (77 couples in which both completed follow-up, 27 in which one member completed the follow-up). Note. 6 couples broke up, 14 couples no response. Sample is relatively diverse (50% of sample identifies as Caucasian). 3) Measures: Individual difference, relationship and sexuality questionnaires, as well as emotions during a conversation with their partner about love. More specifically, At background: attachment, Big Five, approach avoidance, social threat and reward, destiny & growth beliefs, commitment & satisfaction, baseline mood, demographics. After love conversation: own positive and negative emotions, as well as perceptions of partners’ emotions. Sexuality measures: sexual growth/destiny, sexual desire, sexual satisfaction, sexual frequency, sexual communal strength, sexual disagreements, sexual compatibility. At follow-up: satisfaction, commitment, investment, alternatives, dissolution consideration, relational ambivalence, sexual growth/destiny, sexual desire, sexual satisfaction, sexual frequency, sexual communal strength, sexual disagreements, sexual compatibility, breakup measures (if broke-up).
