Young people with youth care; Personal characteristics, 2015-2020

This table describes the number of young people who received youth care in the reporting period. These young people can be further disaggregated by their personal characteristics (on 1 January), by the forms of youth care and by the municipality responsible for youth care according to the residence principle Youth. The aggregation of the number of young people across multiple forms of youth care within a (sub) total may be greater than the (sub) total itself. A young person may have several pathways with different forms of youth care, but each type of care or (sub-) total involves a young person only once. In order to reflect the situation of young people in the Netherlands, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are referred to as indicators. Data available from 2015 to 2020 Due to a break in the trend, the figures from 2021 onwards appear in a new table which can be found under the link “Youth Care Tables” in paragraph 3. More information on issues affecting the comparability over time of the figures in this table can be found in section 4. Status of the figures: All figures in this table are definitive.
