DeepWriting is a novel handwritten text dataset with fine-grained character-level annotations, and it provides the results of preliminary user evaluations. This dataset can be used to research the editability of digital ink, including applications such as text style transfer without altering the original text content, word-level editing of digital ink, as well as spell checking and handwritten text correction.
