MODIS regional 8 day mean Chlorophyll-a concentration for the Australian region

MODIS regional 8 day mean Chlorophyll-a concentration for the Australian region is an experimental product generated by CSIRO. The composite images are generated by overlaying valid data of chlorophill-a concentration from the latest observation on a grid covering the Australian region. The region covered is 60S to 10N and 80E to 180E at 0.008 degrees. The chlorophyll-a product calculated from the most recent MODIS pass of the MODIS semi-analytic chlorophyll product (Chlor_a_3) is overlaid on this grid. Data that is more than 8 days old is removed and a new grid is created every four days. The data includes a time field which specifies how many days old each pixel is in relation to a reference time contained in each data file.
This dataset is maintained by the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Center and listed on their OPeNDAP catalog, access is available through the TPAC Climate and Ocean Digital Library.
