资源简介:
Fruits harbor varied microbial communities that have economic and ecological impacts. In light of the advent of modern molecular taxonomy, gene regions exclusively used as bacterial and fungal finger prints are increasingly used for microbial community discrimination. The goal of the present study was to dissect the taxonomic profile of bacterial and fungal communities colonizing five (banana, guava, mango, papaya, and passion fruit) tropical fruits peels collected from conventionally and non-conventionally produced fruits. The work provided taxonomic profile of bacterial community at class level and fungal community at phylum level with some further classification of economically important bacterial and fungal communities. The results could be used as important resource in postharvest management and further industrial extraction of bioactive and other products.
