Inspire — Protected Sites

The dataset includes area designated or managed within a framework of international, community and member states’ legislation to achieve specific conservation objectives. According to IUCN and adopted for the INSPIRE context a protected site is: An area of land and/or sea especially dedicated to the protection and maintenance of biological diversity, and of natural and associated cultural resources, and managed through legal or other effective means.本数据集涵盖依据国际、共同体及成员国立法框架划定或管理的区域，旨在达成特定的保护目标。根据世界自然保护联盟（IUCN）的定义，且在INSPIRE框架下所采用的保护地（protected site）的定义为：专门用于保护和维持生物多样性、自然及其相关文化资源，并通过法律或其他有效手段进行管理的陆域及/或海域区域。
