Study the global transcriptional heterogeneity of young and aged NMR epidermis using scRNA-seq, Overall design: Dorsal skin of 3 young (mean age: 1.1 years) and 3 aged (mean age: 11.3 years) NMR were collected. After a short enzymatic epidermis-dermis digestion and separation, epidermal cells were mechanically dissociated and directly loaded into the chromium controller (10x Genomics) without any FACS-sorting. All the experiments were processed at the same time and mainly analysed using Seurat and Monocle pipelines.
