The dataset includes replicate-level measurements of CO₂ production (V̇CO₂), water-loss rate (EWL), body mass, treatment (control, microplastic, nanoplastic), and tube (random-effect ID) for Drosophila melanogaster. Scripts reproduce all statistics from the manuscript, including linear mixed-effects models (lme4), partial ω² effect sizes with nonparametric bootstrap CIs, post-hoc contrasts, and variance tests. Results show that microplastic (MP) exposure weakens the coupling between V̇CO₂ and water loss and increases among-individual variability, whereas nanoplastic (NP) exposure shows little effect.
