资源简介:
Handgrip strength (HGS) is a crucial indicator of sarcopenia and adverse health outcomes. However, evaluating HGS in children presents challenges, and its association with metabolism remains incompletely understood. This study aimed to establish grip strength reference values for Chinese children and adolescents and assess the role of HGS in relation to cardiometabolic risk. The research successfully established these reference values, introduced the concept of weight-specific HGS and RHGS, and revealed a dose-dependent relationship between weight-specific grip strength and cardiometabolic risk. These findings offer valuable insights into the link between low muscle strength and cardiometabolic risk.
