A soil site is either a profile pit or a drilling. A drilling is always one point location (x, y,z) and a profile pit has a minimum of one and a maximum of two point locations (start and end point of the profile pit). A profile pit is an excavated well in the soil in which profile descriptions, sampling or forest observations are carried out. A profile description is an observation of soil horizons and/or soil layers in an excavated profile pit. A soil horizon is a visually identifiable part of the soil resulting from conversion of parent material by pedo-genetic processes or by the deposit of organic matter. A soil horizon has homogeneous morphological and analytical characteristics for most soil variables. A soil layer, on the other hand, has been created by non-pedogenetic processes. A profile pit gives you an overview of the soil structure. Drilling is the result of drilling in the substrate with removal of the soil by means of a tool in the form of a hollow tube. Soil descriptions, forest observations and sampling are carried out on the basis of this boiled soil material. The soil locations from the “Aardewerk-Vlaanderen-2010” database are separately accessed in the datasets “soil profiles Belgian soil map mapping” and “Surface samples of Belgian soil map mapping”.
土壤点位(soil site)分为剖面坑(profile pit)与钻孔样点(drilling)两种类型。钻孔样点始终对应单一坐标点(x, y, z),而剖面坑则至少包含1个、最多2个坐标点(即该剖面坑的起点与终点)。剖面坑是开挖于土壤中的坑槽,用于开展剖面描述、样品采集或森林观测。剖面描述指对开挖剖面坑内的土壤发生层(soil horizon)和/或土壤层(soil layer)开展的观测。土壤发生层是母质经成土作用(pedo-genetic processes)或有机质沉积形成的、可通过目视识别的土壤单元,其绝大多数土壤属性的形态与分析特征均具有均一性。与之相对,土壤层(soil layer)则由非成土作用形成。剖面坑可直观展现土壤结构特征。钻孔样点是通过空心管状工具钻取土壤底物并移除原土后得到的钻探产物,基于该煮沸后的土壤材料(boiled soil material)可开展土壤描述、森林观测与样品采集工作。来自"Aardewerk-Vlaanderen-2010"数据库的土壤点位,分别收录于"比利时土壤图制图土壤剖面数据集(soil profiles Belgian soil map mapping)"与"比利时土壤图制图表层样品数据集(Surface samples of Belgian soil map mapping)"中。
