NSCR_Dataset_2025

The University of Turin (UniTo) released the third open-access dataset NSCR_Dataset collected for the NSC-Reconstruct (874758) European stem cell consortia for neural cell replacement, reprogramming and functional brain repair (874758) (https://www.nsc-reconstruct.com/en/index.do). This NSCR dataset contains the results from the following publication: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1043661825003305?via%3Dihub (corresponding authors: Prof. Annalisa Buffo, [e-mail]; Prof. Elena Cattaneo, [e-mail]; Dr. Dario Besusso, [e-mail]). Results were obtained from histological ex vivo brain samples, in vivo calcium recordings and in vitro calcium imaging, ex vivo MEA recordings, and behavioral tests during chemogenetic stimulation from a rat model of Huntington's Disease (HD), after cell replacement approach of striatal progenitor cells in the lesioned striatum, at different time points. The dataset contains data from images of brain tissue stained for different cellular and molecular markers, acquired with confocal and lightsheet microscopes, from which analysis were performed, data from HD-MEA electrophisiological recordings of ex vivo brain slices containing the graft, data from calcium recordings perfomed in vivo, and behavioral data obtained eight month after transplantation by testing the HD animals in different tasks during chemogenetic modulation of graft activity.
