Replication Code for: Firm-level Innovation, Productivity, and Efficiency in Riskful Business Environments: A Case Study of Agribusiness in El Salvador

This dataset contains the replication code for the article: Rosero, G., Salguero, J., & Brümmer, B. (2025). Firm-level Innovation, Productivity, and Efficiency in Riskful Business Environments: A Case Study of Agribusiness in El Salvador, European Review of Agricultural Economics. The replication archive includes all R scripts used to clean the data, construct variables, estimate the Crépon–Duguet–Mairesse (CDM) model, implement matching and balance diagnostics, estimate selectivity-corrected stochastic frontier models, compute the stochastic metafrontier, and generate all tables and figures reported in the article and its appendix. The empirical analysis in this article uses microdata from the World Bank Enterprise Surveys (ES) for El Salvador (2010 and 2016). Users can access the ES 2010 and ES 2016 microdata for El Salvador directly at https://www.enterprisesurveys.org after registering.
