We seeded RAW264.7 cells into a 6-well plate (approximately 2.5x10^5 cells/ml). After culturing in complete medium for 24 hours, RAW264.7 cells were treated by 1.5g/cm2 compressive force for 4 hours. The compression-loading device consisted of a customized glass slide (30mm in diameter, 1mm in thickness), a plastic centrifuge tube cap and stainless-steel beads used as counterweights. Cells cultured without compression were used as control group.
