资源简介:
This dataset was developed to support the application of the Relative Elevation Model (REM) methodology for the identification and classification of flood-prone areas within the urban perimeter of Rio Branco, Acre, Brazil. The REM was derived from a 1-meter resolution Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and used to generate a Flood Susceptibility Map, enabling the differentiation between active floodplains, high terraces, and less vulnerable urban zones. The dataset includes all spatial layers, project files, and classification tables used in the analysis, allowing for full methodological reproducibility. It contains both vector and raster data, as well as an Excel table summarizing the flood susceptibility classification and the historical maximum water levels of the Acre River between 1971 and 2024. This dataset supports the research presented in the scientific article “Application of the Relative Elevation Model (REM) for Flood Susceptibility Mapping in the Urban Area of Rio Branco, Acre, Brazil,” which is under submission to the Brazilian Journal of Geomorphology (RBGEO).
