Novel actinobacteria are considered the most promising source of new bioactive secondary metabolites. Thus, it is of utmost importance to reveal their potential by employing omics technologies such as whole-genome analyses. In this project, we aim to analyse novel actinobacteria in terms of whole-genome sequences for mining secondary metabolite coding gene clusters as well as for in silico DNA-DNA hybridisation analysis.
