RNAseq of Acinetobacter baumannii 5116 stimulated by meropenem

Acinetobacter baumannii is an important nosocomial pathogen that has a remarkable ability to survive under antibiotic-stressed environments. Carbapenem-resistance is a big challenge in clinics currently. Although several kinds of resistance mechanisms have been reported, it is still unclear that before obtaining these mechanisms, which factors are changed and may involve in the carbapenem-adaptation, thus further contribute to the development of antibiotic resistance. In order to investigate the potential adaptational genes of A. baumannii participating in the stress response of meropenem, RNAseq was performed to demonstrate the transcriptional profile of this bacterium under the stress of meropenem.
