Total carbon dioxide emissions of the largest banks Europe 2022

According to environmental reporting on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the largest European banks based on total assets, French Groupe BPCE reported the highest emissions in 2022. The bank reported total GHG emissions of 519,818 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. The other leading French bank, Crédit Mutuel Group, reported the second highest volumes of emissions among the largest European banks, with 382,976 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
