Anemone flaccida root transcriptome. Anemonastrum flaccidum

Anemone flaccida Fr. Schmidt is a perennial medical herb. The roots can be used as treatments for a variety of ailments. However, little is known about this non-model plant´s genetic background or transcriptome. Using the Roche GS FLX Titanium platform, one-quarter of the 454 pyrosequencing resulted in 234,551 high-quality reads, with an average read length of 335 bp, of which 30,494 are unique sequences. These results provide the first large-scale genetic dataset for A. flaccida rhizomes.
