Capture sequencing of marine snails (Littorina saxatilis) from a hybrid zone

The study goal was to identify genomic regions potentially underlying ecotype divergence in the marine snail Littorina saxatilis. Snails were sampled from a hybrid zone between Crab and Wave ecotype on the Swedish west coast (Angklavebukten / “ANG”, 58.8697 ° , 11.1197 °). Targeted capture sequencing was applied with 40,000 probes, randomly distributed across the genome. These data were used to identify loci showing clines that are inconsistent with neutrality, potentially indicating divergent selection between ecotypes.
