Charcoal and fill samples from possible hearths at the Buckhorn Site (02-251) and the
Curtain Site (02-252) were submitted for identification and macrofloral analysis. Macrofloral analysis will be used to provide
subsistence information concerning possible plant resources processed in the hearths, while
examination of charcoal will identify types of wood burned as fuel in these features and the best
possible material for AMS radiocarbon dating.
