Less-favoured agricultural areas are areas with specific (economic, agricultural, physical and demographic), natural and permanent handicaps linked to terrain, altitude, slope and soil, in which the maintenance of agricultural activity is necessary for the maintenance of the natural area (see Directive 75/268/EEC). These are less-favoured agricultural areas, which are homogeneous from the point of view of the natural conditions of production. The total or partial classification of municipalities in less-favoured areas is fixed by MAAPR ministerial decrees.

农业欠发达区域（Less-favoured Agricultural Areas）指存在特定经济、农业、自然及人口维度的永久性制约因素的区域，此类制约与地形、海拔、坡度及土壤条件息息相关，维持农业活动是保护该类自然区域的必要前提（参见欧盟指令75/268/EEC）。此类农业欠发达区域在农业生产的自然条件维度上具备同质性。各市镇整体或部分被划入农业欠发达区域的分类结果，由MAAPR部长级法令确定。
