We cultivated diploid and hexaploid Phleum pratense individuals from natural populations in northern France in field tunnels. Throughout their life cycle, we measured maximum plant height, tiller and spike number, and developmental stage weekly over 22 weeks. We additionally measured foliar and stomatal traits at single time points, as well as reproductive traits including spike length and pollen morphology and production.
