Both environmental and clinical Lp isolates endowed with decreased susceptibility to azithromycin linked to the presence of the efflux pump lpeAB have been documented. In this study, the broth microdilution (BMD) assay was employed to provide an updated survey of antimicrobial susceptibility levels in 205 Lp human strains isolated in Italy.
