A carbon fiber sheet material containing multiple strands of carbon fibers and a binder which joins the carbon fibers to one another， the carbon fiber sheet material being characterized by containing， as the carbon fibers， first carbon fibers which are virgin carbon fibers and second carbon fibers which are recycled carbon fibers. When the average length of the first carbon fibers is L VCF[mm] and the average length of the second carbon fibers is LRCF[mm]， it is preferable for the relationship 1.1≤LVCF/LRCF≤30 to be satisfied.
