DUAL model: Mice fed with WD and a 10% of alcohol in the drinking water

Murine microbiota of male mice fed with DUAL diet (WD and a 10% of alcohol in the sweetened drinking water) for a period of 23 weeks was analyzed. The study includes groups of male mice fed with DUAL diet for 10 weeks and gavaged with a cocktail of ABX the last 10 days of DUAL feeding to analyze microbiome depletion. The study further includes groups of male mice fed with DUAL diet for 10 weeks, subjected to Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) from healthy controls the last 4 weeks of DUAL feeding. Mice fed with chow diet + FMT from healthy controls were used as controls.
