EPO hyporesponsiveness in hemodialysis patients is still unclear. We analysis gut microbiota between different responsiveness to EPO in hemodialysis patients with anemia using 16s rDNA sequencing. The poor-responsivenes s(PR) patients displayed a characteristic composition of the gut microbiome that clearly differed from that of good-responsiveness (GR) patients. 9 genera (Neisseria, Streptococcus, Porphyromonas, Fusobacterium, Prevotella_7, Rothia, Leptotrichia, Prevotella, Actinomyces) we identified could excellently predict EPO hyporesponsiveness. In contrast, 5 genera (Faecalibacterium, Citrobacter, Bifidobacterium, Escherichia-Shigella, Bacteroides) identified present a good protective effect against EPO hyporesponsiveness.
