Genome sequence and annotation of Digitalis purpurea

The genome of a red flowering Digitalis purpurea plant was sequenced with nanopore long reads. The genome sequence was assembled with NextDenovo2 and the gene models were predicted by BRAKER3. The functional annotation was predicted based on sequence similarity to well characterized Arabidopsis thaliana sequences.本研究针对一株红花洋地黄（Digitalis purpurea），采用纳米孔长读长测序技术完成其基因组测序。随后利用NextDenovo2软件完成基因组序列组装，通过BRAKER3软件预测得到基因模型。功能注释则基于与已充分表征的拟南芥（Arabidopsis thaliana）序列的序列相似性进行预测。
