This dataset is the Yangtze River Delta Population Aging Dataset, spanning the years 2000, 2010, and 2020, and encompasses three spatial scales: provincial, prefecture-level, and district/county-level. It collects and organizes multi-scale age-disaggregated population data from the 5th, 6th, and 7th National Population Censuses of the People's Republic of China, and computes the old-age dependency ratio. The final included indicators are: population aged 0-14, population aged 15-64, population aged 65 and above, total population, and old-age dependency ratio. The data is stored in ESRI shapefile format.
