Dataset and code for rotor-based mechanical hysteron experiments and theory

Three files are archived here:
1. "Source Data.xlsx": Dataset recording the measured behaviors of uncoupled and coupled mechanical hysterons. Data include both experimental measurements as well as numerical results from a corresponding theoretical model. Recorded data include force-versus-displacement curves for springs used, switching thresholds for the built hysterons, and time evolution of a coupled hysteron system.
2. "Kinematic-model.nb": Mathematica notebook for calculating the switching thresholds for two coupled rotor hysterons using the exact kinematic model.
3. "t-graph-maker.ipynb": Jupyter notebook for determining stable states and transition pathways in a system of N coupled hysterons.
