we explored and compared the anti-colitis effect of hot-water extract of three kinds of black teas from different origins (namely, lapsang form Fujian, China, keemun from Anhui, China and dianhong from Yunnan, China) via traditional tea brewing methods, combined with multiomics (metagenomics and transcriptome), aimed to dig out the underlying mechanism of various action of three black teas and provide new insights into colitis prevention by nutraceutical therapy as well as a reference for the public to drink tea healthily
