资源简介:
This most western Palearctic hynobiid salamander is endemic to habitats of northern Iran (and possibly adjacent SE-Aserbaidshan) with clear, fishless streams within the Tertiary relict ecosystem of the Hyrcanian Forests, covering the northern (Caspian) slopes of the Alburz and adjoining mountain ranges. It has also been found at few deforested mountain sites. There is debate whether Iranodon persicus, from the western edge of the Hyrcanian Corridor, may be conspecific with Iranodon gorganensis, occurring in its eastern part. Older synonyms of the genus name include Batachuperus and Paradactylodon. To resolve the open taxonomic questions, to easy future detection of this secretive and rarely found species with eDNA, and to help with its conservation, we have generated genomic resources for this critically endangered species. The two transcriptomes come from a whole embryo extraction and multiple mixed tissues (brain, eye, muscle, liver and gonad) of a 4 cm long larva from the Mazanderan Province of Iran (36.50972 N, 51.44389 E).
