Der Mainstream psychologischer Diagnostik steht mehr oder weniger im Gegensatz zu gestaltpsychologischen Grundpositionen. Diese legen eine Konzeption diagnostischen Vorgehens im Einzelfall nahe, welches ganzheitlich, eher qualitativ orientiert, alltagsnah und nicht auf zu isolierende Variablen, sondern auf komplexe Gegebenheiten ausgerichtet ist. Weitere begriffliche Differenzierungen führen sowohl zur Leipziger Ganzheitspsychologie als auch zum theoretischen und methodischen Ansatz Lewins, wobei letzterer im Hinblick auf die Diagnostik spezifischere Gesichtspunkte zur Verfügung stellt. Es wird die Ansicht vertreten, dass eine wünschenswerte psychologische Diagnostik in mehrfacher Hinsicht auf Grundsätzen der Gestaltpsychologie aufbauen sollte. The mainstream of psychological assessment is more or less contrary to basic positions in Gestalt psychology. These principles suggest a conception of individual assessment which is globally characterized as holistic, mainly qualitative in procedure, near to everyday life, and not concerned with isolated variables but referring to complex data. Further terminological differentiations lead to the Leipzig school of Ganzheitspsychologie (holistic psychology) but also the theoretical and methodical statements of Lewin, who has formulated more specific aspects with regard to the assessment process. Finally there are in existence assessment methods which may be called gestaltpsychological in the strictest sense. So we see that a desirable psychological assessment should build upon principles of Gestalt psychology in a threefold way, metaphorically speaking within the framework of three concentric circles. reviewed publishedVersion
