Currently, the genome assembly of the Hippobosca camelina is unavailable to the scientificcommunity. This has limited our understanding of the molecular biology of theHippobosca species and the genetic basis of their ecology, particularly theirchemosensory system. Therefore, this study aimed to generate or construct a whole genome assembly of Hippobosca camelina and describe the genes responsible for chemosensing.
