Supporting data and MATLAB code for "Persistent and intensifying heat extremes in global deeper soils"
收藏资源简介:
This archive contains supporting MATLAB code and summary tables for the paper“Persistent and intensifying heat extremes in global deeper soils” (Journal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences). Folders:- code/ : MATLAB scripts to compute seasonal and annual multi-layer heatwave metrics, generate the global and regional maps and depth-wise trends, and perform the land-cover-based (forest vs non-forest) analysis. - tables/ : Figure-ready global and regional statistics corresponding to the maps and depth-wise trend panels in the paper, including: * Mean occurrence frequency, duration, peak intensity, and severity of multi-layer heatwaves across the five layers . * Summertime means of the same metrics . * Wintertime means of the same metrics . * Forest buffering effects: differences in frequency, duration, peak intensity, and severity between non-forest (shrublands/grasslands/croplands) and forests across the five layers. Details on how to obtain and preprocess the input data are provided in the paper.
