Boreal peatlands play a central role in the global carbon cycle and are key to climate change mitigation strategies. This dataset was generated to address the question: How do water level (WL) management strategies under present and future climates influence greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes and their radiative forcing (RF) impacts? Data were collected from a fully controlled climate chamber mesocosm experiment simulating three WL management strategies (low, medium, and high/rewetting) under both present (2022 growing season) and future (RCP 4.5) climate conditions. Biweekly measurements of CO₂ and CH₄ fluxes were used to model annual emissions, which were then input into an RF model to evaluate the potential cooling or warming effects of different peatland management strategies.
